October, the “mini summer”!

The Greeks call October “the mini summer” as this month marks the mild passage from summer to autumn. The days remain sweet and bright and the afternoons are no longer hot. Earthly colours paint the slopes of the mountains, with brushes of red and gold here and there. This is the best moment for you to enjoy revitalising escapes and discover the beauties of the hinterland.

  • Visit the renowned stone-built villages of Syrrako and Kalarrytes on the slopes of the Pindos range.
  • Discover a vibrating ark of life into the biotopes and ecosystems all around the country.
  • Travel to Southern Evia to “solve” the mystery of the “Drakospita”, the Dragonhouses that are a challenge to the archaeologists.
  • Give a different look at your favourite Aegean islands, focusing on inland villages with world unique features.
